Dr. Helms Joins Kaiser’s Hilo Medical Team
Seven new physicians have been added to Kaiser Permanente facilities across the state, including one to Kaiser’s Hilo office.
Dr. Eric Helms has joined the obstetrics and gynecology department in Hilo.
He received his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa.
After completing his degree, Dr. Helms completed his ob-gyn residency at Mission Hospital/Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
Dr. Helms serves as a staff physician at Bay Clinic in Hilo before joining Kaiser. He currently holds board certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
Three physicians were also added both on Maui and Oahu. The new hires have joined 600 physicians and other health care providers in the state.
Rebecca Gladding, MD, who practices psychiatry at the Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health Service, joined the Wells St. facility in Wailuku, Mary Kingma-Noland, MD joined the nephrology department at Kaiser Permanente’s Wailuku Medical Office, and Ann Rahall, MD joins the obstetrics and gynecology department at Kaiser Permanente’s Wailuku Medical Office.
On Oahu, David Hsiang, MD, FACS has joined the general surgery department at Kaiser Permanente’s Moanalua Medical Center. Marci Peralto, MD, joins the obstetrics and gynecology department at Kaiser Permanente’s Honolulu Medical Office, and Gale Prentiss, MD, joins the sports medicine department at Kaiser Permanente’s Moanalua Medical Center.
