Hawai’i Police Department requested the public’s help Tuesday in identifying the man pictured. HPD provided image.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a terroristic threatening report on Sunday has been successful.

Authorities say the man, whose image was released by police on Tuesday, has been identified and police have made contact.

The man’s name was not revealed.

On Sunday, a 57-year-old man from California reported that he had been threatened at 2:30 p.m. while he was in a Hilo parking lot.
