In an effort to reach out to youth basketball players and coaches, the University of Hawai’i at Hilo is offering free admission to its remaining home basketball games this season.

The offer extends to players in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade who participate on teams in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s basketball leagues, as well as participants in the Hawai’i Isle Police Activities League’s many tournaments. Those covered on each team include the player, head coach, one assistant coach, and each coach’s significant other.

To participate, coaches must submit a roster of players and coaches, as well as the kids’ ages and the coach’s contact information.
