Jean Dickinson was recently named Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ director of communications for the Hawai’i region.

Under the new role, Dickinson will take the lead on four islands with a total of 11 resort properties, including the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay.

“We are very pleased that Jean is joining the Starwood team,” said David Richard, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Hawai’i & French Polynesia. “Her extraordinary background in travel, retail, and consumer marketing, her experience on both the agency and the client side, as well as her deep understanding of Hawai’i’s unique culture honed from many years living and working in the Islands, makes her a perfect fit for our Starwood ohana.”

With a background in public relations, advertising, marketing, and strategic planning, Dickinson left her senior vice president role at Starwood’s Communication Pacific, where she worked in media relations, issues management, and brand stewardship for the Hawai’i-specific position.
