KAPA Hawaiian FM morning personalities Jaz and Ka’ea welcomed Mailani Makainai to the KAPA Cafe.
Growing up in a musical family, Mailani has always been musically talented and started singing when she was just 2 years old. In high school she met Lei Melket and formed the group Keahiwai, which became the most popular female duos of Hawaii in 2000. Keahiwai released 5 Na Hoku Hanohano Award winning albums. Most recently, Mailani became a Na Hoku Hanohano Award winning female vocalist of the year and her new album Pacific Gem is now available.
