Schatz Meets with Refugees in Germany, Jordan

United States Senator Brian Schatz recently traveled to Germany and Jordan, where he met with government leaders and refugees.

The weekend was spent on a fact-finding mission to discuss regional and international efforts to combat the threat of terrorism and address the refugee crisis in Europe and the Middle East.

Senator Schatz toured refugee facilities and met with German, Jordanian, and United Nations officials to discuss the daily operations of the centers and their challenges. He also spent time with refugee families who discussed their experiences of coping with being displaced in Jordan and Germany.
