On Sunday, Oct. 18, Department of Public Works Traffic Division crews will conduct work on the traffic signals located at the intersection of Kilauea Avenue and Hualalai Street.

Work is expected to run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather conditions permitting.

Crews will install wireless vehicle detection sensors in the roadway on three approaches and program the signals to optimize traffic flow.

During the roadwork, the intersection will remain open as crews work on one approach at a time. Off-duty police officers will support the crews in directing motorists around the lane being worked on.
