Police Seek Identity of Suspect in Counterfeit Case

The identity of a man suspected of using counterfeit money in Hilo on Aug. 14 is being sought by the Hawai’i Police Department.

According to HPD, the unidentified man was caught on surveillance at a local gas station.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident or the identity of the individual pictured should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Officer Jacob Obermiller directly at 961-2213.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous should call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
