Hawai’i CC – Pālamanui Informational Meeting

Hawai’i Community College – Pālamanui opened its doors to students for the first time last week, and now the school is planning a presentation to inform the public about the various associate degrees offered.

Carrie Kuwada Phipps, Educational Specialist with Hawai’i CC – Pālamanui and University of Hawai’i Center, West Hawai’i, will host the presentation at the Kailua-Kona Public Library from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The talk will also include discussion about the more than 40 Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral degree and post-graduate certificates offered through UH West Hawai’i at Pālamanui, as well as the new LEED Platinum designed campus.

According to the UH system, by 2020, 70 percent of jobs in Hawai’i will require some college credentials.
