Hawai’i Meth Project Seeks Fair Volunteers

The Hawai’i Meth Project is seeking volunteers for the Hilo Jaycees Hawai’i County Fair in Hilo from Sept. 10 to 13.

A total of 6 to 12 volunteers are needed for each three-and-a half hour shift on Thursday and Friday andeach three-hour shift on Saturday and Sunday.

Event volunteers will engage fair-goers in taking social media photos with anti-meth signs, educating the community about methamphetamine, and passing out “Not Even Once” wristbands.

Those interested in volunteering should visit the Hawai’i Meth Project volunteer recruitment website or e-mail [email protected] with their name, phone number, available shifts, shirt size, and a completed volunteer form.

Volunteer shifts:

Thursday, Sept. 10: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 11: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 12: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 13: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
