Decomposed Body Located Off Saddle Road Identified

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that a body found off Saddle Road on June 16 has been identified.

HPD says the body is that of 32-year-old Joshua M. Kahele, who had no permanent address.

Kahele died from asphyxia due to hanging, according to an autopsy report.

HPD reported that a body was found after responding to a report of an unattended truck off the 15-mile marker on Saddle Road.

At the time, HPD reported that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
