The 56th annual Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament is right around the corner, and tournament organizers are seeking volunteers to help make the day run smooth.

Volunteers are needed beginning Thursday, Aug. 6 through Sunday, Aug. 16 and will encompass a variety of tournament support roles. Some of the roles include Kailua pier operations, pre-and-post-Tournament set-up and breakdown, HIBT retail boutique, headquarter administration, security, and other miscellaneous roles.

Tournament organizers say the positions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and each volunteer will receive a HIBT t-shirt and discounted parking in return for their time.

The event, slated for Sunday, Aug. 9 through Saturday, Aug. 15, will be headquartered at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel, where retail and tournament control will also be located.
