Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival Coming in June

The Fourth Annual Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival is coming up with events scheduled throughout the weekend of June 4 – 7.

Presented by the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, the festival will feature grammy and blues award winners, jazz and blues legends, and more.

The music kicks off on June 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Redwater Café in Waimea with live music.  The following day, an additional teaser event will feature Gary Washburn and The Honoka‘a Jazz Band, with Benny Yuetake and Joe Cabral of the Iguanas at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel from 3:45 – 5:45 p.m.

There will be a VIP meet-and-greet event at the hotel on June 5 from 6 – 9 p.m., featuring live jazz and blues music, pupus, and a cash bar.

The main event will happen Saturday, June 6 from 5 – 9 p.m., featuring artists and legends like Louis Hayes, Steve Turre, Howard Levy of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Bobby Watson, Johnny Sansone, The Iguanas, Benny Uyetake, John Keawe, and more.

Sunday morning, June 7, will feature a jazz brunch at the hotel with live music from 11:30 – 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online.  General admission is $50 and VIP premium seating is $100.
