KKCC Accepting Pūalu Award Nominations

West Hawai’i nominations for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations are being sought by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce for its 12th annual Pūalu Awards.

For the past 30 years, KKCC has recognized leaders in the community for business and marketing in various categories, including Community Education, Environmental Awareness, Business Innovation, Lifetime Service, Culture & Heritage, Visitor Industry Marketing Award, and Chamber Member of the Year.

Nomination are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 22 and must include two letters of recommendation. Companies and organizations can nominate others or themselves, but specific and concrete examples of how they made a difference in West Hawai’i are required.

KKCC will present the Pūalu Awards at its Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon at the Four Season Resort Hualalai on Friday, June 26.

To obtain a nomination form, visit the KKCC website or pick one up from the Chamber office, located at 75-5737 Kuakini Highway, Suite 208 in Kailua-Kona. Submission will be accepted through mail or by e-mail to Kirstin Kahaloa at [email protected].
