The following temporary road closures have been announced by the State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation for Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Alternating single lane closures along Mamalahoa Highway, also known as Route 11, will occur in both directions between mile markers 106 and 107. The area affected will be under roadway pavement reconstruction near Honaunau.
From Pepeekeo to Hakalau, a single lane closure will occur in both directions as roadway improvements are made. The closures will take place between mile markers 10 and 15.6 along Hawai’i Belt Road, also known as Route 19.
Along Umauma Bridge in Hakalau on Route 19, mile marker 16, alternating lane closures will remain on a seven-day-a-week, twenty-four-hour schedule as bridge rehabilitation continues. Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour.
