The Second Annual Kailua Kanikapila Community Picnic is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at the Hale Halawai County Pavilion oceanfront lawn from 4 p.m. to sunset.
Residents, visitors, and their families are invited to attend the free event, which will feature multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Darlene Ahuna, who will perform renditions of Hawaiian songs and hula classics.
Organizers suggest that attendees bring lawn chairs, beach mats, and picnic favorites. For individuals who wish to purchase food at the even,t Estrada’s Surf n Turf, Big Island Kettle Corn, JJ’s Mini Orbits Donuts, and Scandinavian Shave Ice will be at the event.
The event is sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, Hawai’i Tourism Authority, and the County of Hawai’i.
