Parker School in Kamuela raised a record $235,000 during its 10th annual Kahiau dinner and auction gala event on March 7.  The event was held at the Fairmont Orchid hotel on the Kohala Coast and drew some 280 people to help the school raise financial aid money.

The Kahiau fundraiser is a key event in providing financial assistance to roughly half of the 300 kindergarten through 12th grade students attending Parker school.  Kahiau means “to give generously from the heart” in Hawaiian.

Parker school extended its appreciation to the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees who made the event so successful.
