The average price for regular gas in Hilo has risen slightly to $3.06 per gallon this week compared with $3.01 last week, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
The average remains nearly the same as reported one month ago. Prices are averaging roughly $0.96 less than the same time last year.
Statewide, gas prices are averaging $3.11 per gallon, up $0.06 from last week. Prices are averaging $1 less than on the same date last year.
The national average for regular gasoline is $2.46 per gallon.
