The Hawai’i State Department of Health has announced that residents in the state can now access the status of their online orders of birth certificates and marriage/civil union certificates on the internet.

Earlier this week, the DOH’s Office of Health Status Monitoring launched its new improved online ordering and tracking system.

“The Hawai’i Department of Health issues nearly 300,000 certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records each year, and now, all requests will be processes in a single system to better manage orders and to identify ways to continuously improve service,” said Alvin T. Onaka, Ph.D, state registrar and chief of the Office of Health Status Monitoring.

Those needing vital records, including birth, death, civil union, marriage, and divorce certificates can order them online with all major credit cards. Certificates can be picked up from the main DOH office in Honolulu or be received by mail.

Currently, the cost of these records is $10.00, with a $2.50 portal administration fee from eHawaii.gov.

Additional information about the improved online ordering and status review can be obtained at the eHawaii.gov website or by calling eHawaii.gov at (808) 965-4620.
