Beer aficionados, ready your glasses.  The annual Kona Brewers Festival’s main event is coming up on Saturday, Mar. 14 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Held at Kamakahonu Bay in northern Kona, the festival includes 40 breweries from Hawaii and the mainland each offering two varieties of craft draft beer.  Chefs from 40 of the Big Island’s best restaurants will be cooking up sweet and savory foods, from fresh fish and BBQ meats to rich desserts.

The festival will begin with a traditional hula and oli (chant), followed by live music, and a Trash Fashion Show featuring attire made entirely from recycled materials to raise environmental awareness.

Tickets for the Saturday event are only available in advance for $75, and include a commemorative mug, eight 4 oz. brew coupons, unlimited cuisine samples, and afternoon entertainment.  Purchase online for a $5 fee.
