On Saturday, March 14, Kona Commons will celebrate St. Pet-Tricks Day with a family-friendly extravaganza focusing on pets.

Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., an array of activities will take place, including a pet food drive, a pet trick contest, pet training and grooming demos, pet kissing, photos with your pet, a pet hydration and snacks station, and the chance to win a $500 pet spa treatment.

At 8 a.m., Kahula ‘O Nawahine Hula Halau will perform during an opening ceremony. Petco’s Mega Pet Adoption will also coincide with the events and run until 4 p.m.

Additionally, Hawai’i’s first and only Arson K9, Kaimi, will be at the event. Kaimi helps fire officials across the state fight arson crimes and responds to fire scenes.
