Hilo to Pohakuloa Convoy Scheduled for Thursday

Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy the roads between Keaukaha Military Reservation in Hilo and Pohakuloa Traning Area on Feb. 19 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Roads used during the convoy will include Hilo Airport Road, Kanoelehua Avenue, West Puainako Street, Komohana Avenue, Puainako Extension Route 2000, and the Daniel K. Inouye Highway. The convoy will be escorted by military police.

Efforts to coordinate this activity, in support of unit training, were made by the PTA Department of Army police, local authorities, and military units.

Motorists driving in the area during the scheduled times are advised to remain alert and drive with caution.
