Hawai’iCon will present the Cosmic Cosplay Ball on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Hilo High School Auditorium from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Coined at the 1984 WorldCon, Cosplay, also known as costume play, allows fans to celebrate their favorite fictional and non-fictional characters through constructing and wearing costumes.

All ages are welcomed to the Friday night event that will be highlighted by the annual costume contest.

Participants will compete for cash and prizes as the best costume makers on the Big Island show off their work.
