Military Convoys Scheduled for Next Week

Military convoys of Oahu-based service members are scheduled for next week.

On Jan. 26 and Jan. 31, military personnel will convoy the roads from Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Harbor between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Roads used during the convoy will include Daniel K. Inouye Highway, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Akoni Pule Corridor. Military police will escort the convoys.

This activity, in support of unit training and readiness, is being worked on by the PTA Department of Army Police, in coordination with local authorities and military units.

Motorist planning to be using the roadways during the scheduled time are advised to use caution and remain alert.
