University of Hawai’i juniors Erin Carvalho and Tai Manu-Olevao were named to the 2014 Big West Academic All-Conference list for the fall sports season.

Carvalho, a graduate of Kamehameha-Hawai’i, competes on the Rainbow Wahine cross country team. She also earned the honor during her sophomore season. She has earned the same award during the spring season as a member of the women’s track-and-field squad.

Volleyball standout Manu-Olevao graduated from Punahou School on Oahu. She made the All-Conference Academic list for the first time this season.

In order to qualify for the achievement, athletes must obtain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average, complete at least one year of academic work at their institution, and participate in at least 50 percent of their team’s events.
