Wanted Man Arrested After Two Years

A man who has been wanted for more than two years was located by the Hawai’i Police Department on Thursday.

Albert Aukai Manners, 29, was located and arrested with the assistance of deputies from the Department of Public Safety’s Sheriff Division at a home in the Ainaloa subdivision at 12:22 p.m. on Thursday. Upon being arrested, he was taken to the Hilo police cellblock.

Manners was charged with first-degree bail jumping and four counts of contempt of court. He remains at the cellblock without bail. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday.

“Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” featured Manners in 2012.
