Grammy nominated Hawaiian swing band Kahulanui will be performing on the Kahilu Theatre stage on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.

With inspiration drawn from the Hawaiian Swing music orchestras of the 1920s and 30s, Kahulanui performs classic Hawaiian songs in a syncopated style, making Hawaiian Swing vibrant and alive today.

The band is composed of Lolena Naipo Jr., Patrick Eskildsen, Robert Duke Tatom, and Tim Taylor. Jesse Snyder and other special guests will be featured on horns.

Kahulanui’s big Kahilu concert is the only one on the island before the band ships off to GlobalFEST 2015 in New York City. The band will also perform on the Millennium stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. in January.
