An invasion of privacy case is being investigated by the Hawai’i Police Department in connection to an August incident that occurred on a public bus.

On August 26 at approximately 11:50 a.m., an unknown man appeared to be taking indecent photographs of a woman who had fallen asleep on the Hele-On bus while riding in Hilo.

The man has been described by police as Caucasian and in his 40s to 50s. At the time of the incident, he also had shoulder-length hair, a thick mustache, and was wearing a cowboy hat.

He originally boarded the bus in Waimea and was last seen exiting the bus in Hilo.
