Second Man Arrested in Pair of Hilo Burglaries

A second Hilo man has been arrested and charged in connection to a pair of burglaries in Hilo Monday.

Justin Yamauchi, 19, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, and resisting an order to stop. Bail was set at $7,000, and his initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday.

The Hawai’i Police Department announced Wednesday that  25-year-old Hilo man Alexander Bacdad was arrested in Ka’u for his role in the incidents. Authorities allege that on Monday night, businesses on Leilani Street and Kalanianaole Avenue were broken into and various items were stolen.

Bacdad was scheduled to appear in court Thursday. He was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft. His bail was set at $6,500.
