The Hilo Public Library will be holding a “Keiki Pumpkin Decorating Contest” on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. in the children’s room.

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to attend the event to decorate pumpkins provided by the Friends of Hilo Public Library.

The library’s children section will supply materials to decorate but children can also take the pumpkins home to work on or bring their own pre-decorated pumpkin for the contest.

From Oct. 24 to Oct. 30, the general public will be able to vote for their favorites.
