The 30th anniversary celebration of the Kohala Country Fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m- 4 p.m. in Kapa’au.

The fair, which began in 1984, started as a day for North Kohala residents working at the Mauna Lani resort to enjoy each other’s company, food, and music.

Thirty years later, the event is celebrating a milestone anniversary and has since grown into one of the biggest country fairs on the Big Island.

The day long event will feature a variety of music, dance, and family entertainment. Scheduled to perform is Robi Kahakalau, North Shor Live, the Keawe Trio, Lorenzo’s Army, LavaRoots, and the HICCUP Children’s Circus.

You can also expect to see contests, food, and crafts, as well as a low priced keiki zone with rides and activities.

Admission is free.
