Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 35-year-old Big Island man.

According to a police report issued Tuesday, Josiah Ikaika Konanui is wanted on a $1,000 bench warrant for contempt of court.

Police say he has no permanent address but frequents the Puna area.

He is described as 5-foot, 11-inches, 185 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

He is also wanted for questioning in connection with a burglary.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts may call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Royce Serrao at 961-2272 or [email protected].

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
