Underground hip-hop artist Murs heads to Hilo for a one-night-only show.
The Los Angeles native will be performing Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Hilo Town Tavern on 168 Keawe St.
Doors open at 9 p.m. for the 21 and up show. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 after that.
DA Humdrum Hui Up, DJ Mike Eye, and Sapience will also be performing Thursday night.

Before becoming a solo artist in 2003, Murs performed with the 3 Melancholy Gypsies or “3MG” and Living Legends. He’s since appeared on more than 20 different records, EPs and singles.
Murs most recently collaborated with rappers Mayday! on the album ¡Mursday!, and this year he’s putting together a hip-hop stage at the Sunset Strip Music Festival in West Hollywood, California.
The festival kicks off Sept. 20 and 21 and will bring together some fan-favorite artists such as Killer Mike, Bun B and Riff Raff.
