Thinking of expanding your business into the federal contracting business? The US Small Business Administration, Minority Business Development Center and Hawaii Department of Transportation are offering a one-day class for small businesses interested in learning how to market themselves more effectively to government buying activities, including military and civilian agencies.

The class will incorporate a six-part series to help small business that want to do business with the number one buyer of goods and services — the US government — assisting businesses in registering with the government database (SAM), financing options and subcontracting opportunities.

The free one-day class will be 9-4 p.m., Aug. 12, in the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union conference room, 73-5611 Olowalu St., Kailua-Kona.
