Couple Accused of Squatting in Empty Pepeekeo Home

A couple has been accused of squatting in an empty house in Pepeekeo.

Police received a report Friday of suspicious activity at the home on Kaupakueha Homestead Road. Officers were told that lights were on in a house that was supposed to be unoccupied.

Pepeekeo residents Akoni Perry, 27, and Holly White, 32, were arrested for allegedly staying at the home. They were later charged with burglary and fourth-degree theft.

Bail for each was set at $5,250.

They remained at the police cellblock this morning pending an initial court appearance.
