UPDATE: Keaau Woman Missing Since March Located

A 24-year-old Keaau woman missing since March 24 has been located.

Karissa Hirahara, who was reported missing Friday by police, was found unharmed Saturday in Pahoa.

Posted 5:33 p.m. Friday, April 4:

Police are looking for a 24-year-old Puna woman missing since March 24.

Karissa Hirahara of Keaau is about 5-foot-5 and 170 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen in Keaau with a pink sleeveless shirt, black shorts and a brown jacket with laces on the sleeves.

Police said Hirahara has a medical condition that requires medication. She may be in the lower Puna area.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Det. Wendall Carter at 961-2378 or the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
