UHH’s Lee Earns PWC Softball Player of the Week Award

PacWest Conference Preseason Player of the Year Rebecca Lee is off to a great start nine games into the season.

Lee’s play in Las Vegas earned her the conference’s Hawai`i Tourism Authority PacWest Softball Player of the Week for games played between Feb. 3-9.

The University of Hawai`i at Hilo infielder batted .680 (17-for-25) during the seven game stretch. In that span, the senior hit four home runs, seven doubles, and accumulated 19 runs batted in.

UH-Hilo went 4-1 during the Desert Stinger and 4-3 overall, including two non-conference games prior to the Stinger against Montana State University-Billings. The Vulcans takes a four game winning streak to Riverside, CA as Cal Baptist plays host to a two-day, four-game conference series, beginning today.

On the season, Lee leads the team in batting average (.645), home runs (four), runs batted in (20), doubles (seven), and runs scored (15).
