Woman Robbed Last Week on Hilo Street

Police are investigating a robbery that took place last week on a Hilo street.

A 43-year-old woman reported that she was walking a bicycle on Mililani Street between Pi`ilani and Hualani Streets when she was approached by a man who demanded money. Police said the man threatened her and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident occurred on Monday, Nov. 4, but was not reported until Tuesday, Nov. 12.

The woman was not injured in the incident that took place between 9 and 9:30 a.m.

The suspect was described as a local male about 5-foot-10 with a muscular build, dark brown eyes, very short black hair and a tan complexion. He was wearing surf shorts and a dirty, blue tank top.
