Police are looking for witnesses to a confrontation that occurred early Monday morning in a park fronting a subdivision in lower Puna.

The incident involved a vehicle driving recklessly at about 3 a.m. in the semi-circle park at Kalapana Seaview Estates.

A 59-year-old woman told police that when she confronted the occupants of the vehicle in front of her Kaliki Kai Street home, she was struck in the arm and hand by unidentified objects.

She was treated at the scene by county paramedics.

Police are investigating the incident as a case of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det. Todd Pataray at 961-2382 or [email protected] or the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
