A 32-year-old Kealakekua man has been charged in connection with an Oct. 28 burglary in Holualoa.

Detectives recovered jewelry from the burglary, as well as jewelry from two previous burglaries in Holualoa, from a second-hand shop in Captain Cook.

Police said information on the identity of the alleged seller led detectives to Mathew Robert Kaleo Malapit, who was arrested Wednesday.

He was charged Thursday with burglary and five counts of theft.

His bail was set at $15,500.
