A Pahoa man sought by police has been located and charged with a variety of offenses in connection with a June incident.

Police said Michael Dwayne Carvalho was being held on $140,000 bail following his arrest on Wednesday.

Carvahlo, 26, was charged Thursday with robbery, kidnapping, terroristic threatening, attempted car theft and two counts of assault.

The charges stem from an incident June 9 at a home on Cook Street in Kalapana where Carvalho allegedly held a 29-year-old male acquaintance at knifepoint, assaulted him and threatened him before demanding his car keys and attempting to steal his vehicle.
