The Big Island Auto Club held their annual June Points Meet in front of approximately 500 fans at the Hilo Drag Strip Saturday.

Normally a two-day event, all events were completed on Saturday, giving racers and fans a Sunday off.

In the mega bracket, Kea`au driver Kaike DePonte rode his Camaro to victory. DePonte clocked in at a time of 11.92 seconds as his Camaro topped at 122 mph. Richard Souza of Na`alehu finished second in a Chevrolet Bel Aire.
