Longs Drugs officially opened the newest Hawaii Island store in Waimea today with a blessing and grand opening celebration.

Located at 15-1271 Kawaihae Rd., between the Hale Ola Pono medical complex and Parker Square, the new 24,000-square-foot store is double the size of the previous Longs in Waimea, which was behind Hale Ola Pono.

The previous store closed last Friday and the new store opened its doors for the first time this morning.

Open seven days a week, the expanded Longs will feature an expanded pharmacy, a photo department, as well as over-the-counter medications, personal care and beauty items.
