Monday’s PacWest Conference softball doubleheader between the University of Hawai`i at Hilo and Dominican University has been postponed because of bad weather.

The unscheduled day off gives the Vulcans an extra day of rest on a trip that spans nine days with twelve games scheduled.

UH Hilo opened their road trip with a twinbill split against Notre Dame de Namur University on Saturday. Game one went to Notre Dame de Namur University, who capitalized on six UHH errors to power to a 10-9 victory. UH Hilo won the second game 9-1 behind a three-hit effort from Kristina Victa. Emily Greene added a pair of runs batted in.

The Vulcans return to the softball diamond when they visit Holy Names University on Saturday for a conference doubleheader. Game one begins at 11:00 a.m. Hawai`i time. UH Hilo will head back to San Rafael, CA to make up both games against NDNU on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. Hawai`i time.
