An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of a death of a 62-year-old visitor who began having trouble swimming while night-diving on Kona’s Keahole Point Friday night.

Police said the crew of the boat assisted the woman, identified as Carolanne Perry of West Valley City, Utah, back on board the vessel at about 8 p.m. and began performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

The boat was met back on shore by county paramedics who took her to Kona Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:54 p.m.

The case has been classified as a coroner’s inquest.
