Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who assaulted a 60-year-old Volcano woman Saturday and stole her truck.

The woman told police that at 6 p.m. she gave a man a ride to assist him with a disabled vehicle. But the man took her to another location where he assaulted her and pushed her out of her vehicle before driving off with it.

The woman told police that she was an acquaintance of the man but did not know his name. She sustained injuries from the assault and being pushed from the truck but declined medical attention.

The suspect is described as Caucasian in his early to mid 50s. He is about 6-feet tall, with a medium build, medium-tan complexion with wavy, brown nearly shoulder-length hair. He has no facial hair and may speak with a slight lisp.
