HPP Home Damaged by Fire Thursday Night

Hawaii Fire Department investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged a home on Highway 130 Thursday night.

Department personnel responding to a 7:26 p.m. call found the Hawaiian Paradise Park home in flames with two residents in the rear of the building.

Firefighters were able to confine the damage to three rooms and a hallway of the 1,056-square-foot home.

The occupants, one of whom was confined to a wheelchair, were not injured.

Seventeen firefighters, including six volunteers, responded to the blaze which was extinguished at 8:17 p.m.

An estimate of the monetary damage was not immediately available.
