No Tsunami From Earthquake in Gulf of Alaska

An earthquake that occurred in the Gulf of Alaska this morning has not generated a Pacific-wide tsunami, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach, Oahu.

The center said the 6.5-magnitude quake struck the area at 10:42 a.m., Hawaii time.

The temblor struck at a depth of six miles.
