DJs will keep bodies moving at a week-long dance fest and retreat at Kalani Oceanside Retreat in lower Puna.

The 1st annual Ecstatic Retreat begins on Monday, Nov. 12, at 4 p.m., and runs through Nov. 18. Take part in Ecstatic Dance, Contact Improvisation, Dancing Freedom, AcroYoga, Dynamic Partnering, Chi Kung, Modern Yoga and Kirtan.

Dance experts Karl Frost, Jenny Sauer-Klein, Tyler Blank and Samantha Sweetwater will facilitate the many types of dance, rhythms and heightened consciousness inducing all-over body movement.

Sita Devi will teach daily yoga classes and Kirtan, the art of ecstatic chanting. With all that dancing to do, the DJ lineup includes skillful music manipulators Bluetech, Shamans Dream, Desert Dwellers, Dragonfly, Sprocket, Craig Kohland and Rara Avis.

Purchase tickets online at www.ecstaticretreat.com and are $45 for kama`aina and $119 for non-locals. Fees apply.

Purchase your pass into dance bliss soon if you’d like to attend. Tickets are few and time is running out. Once the event begins, good luck getting in. Food will be available for purchase onsite.

Kalani is located at 12-6860 Kapoho Kalapana Road in Pahoa.
