A 22-year-old Pepeekeo man has been charged with burglary for allegedly stealing gasoline from a Papaikou business.

Police said gas was stolen from a warehouse in Papaikou at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

At 11:37 p.m., a video surveillance system captured images of Norton Castro attempting to steal gas from the warehouse. Police believe Castro, 22, was also responsible for the earlier theft.

Castron was arrested Monday and later charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft.
